Handmade Paper Flowers

I was asked to make some paper flowers as offering to a deity. So off I went to Bunga Raya, Melaka to get some materials.

I remember making some flowers when I was very young. Learnt from my mum. I also tried using tissue paper. And i remember spraying some perfume on the flowers to make thme smell good. But that was more than 20 years ago. How time flies.

Not sure if I still remember how to make those flowers, but well, let's just try.

Bought coloured papers, leaves, pollens, UHU glue, green wire and also green tape

So tried to recall how I made those flowers when I was young...cannot remember a thing leh. If not mistaken, I was either in Kindergarten or Primary 1.

Let's just try using newspaper la...so i cut out newspaper like the following. and imagine how i will assemble them into flower...

Cut those newspaper pattels on the coluored paper and glue them to the green wire one by one, starting from small pattel.

Ta da.....my 1st flower. Not bad ya...

But it looks like 'layu' flower.

You see what I mean....

Improvised and this is my final product. Not bad yeah. My bro's girlfriend asked where I copied this from. Told her I created it all. She dun believe me

My bro commented the flower looked funny. I agree la. The flower looked like rose, but roses dun have leaves like this. This is crysentimum leaves. And the pollen..roses dun have pollen like this. Well, dun care. As long as overall it looks good.

Then mum say, hmm...look good ya. Make me some to decorate the house....dang dang...i have new task now
